Budget Friendly Barcelona Activities

Of course it starts with a budget friendly hotel, guesthouse or youth hostel. There is an abundant amount of websites and apps that help you out with that problem.

To enjoy a good meal it is becoming a bit more difficult. La Paradeta is like a snack bar for fish food. You can eat until you drop and still pay almost nothing. You enter order at the counter and you get a beeper, when the beeper beeps you need to fetch your first dish. There a 6 Paradeta restaurants in Barcelona.

Some museums are really expensive and buying a ticket that gives you the right to visit  multiple museums is not really an option. On Sunday there are lot of museums that are open for free. One of those is CCCB Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona. Every Sunday after 3PM you can go in for free and see the most cutting edge art Barcelonese artist let themselves into. Collections change constantly so next time you’ll find an entirely different museum.

Another cheap trip is to the highest point in Barcelona: Tibidabo. That is a mountain with on top a theme parc and a beautiful church, actually two churches on top of each other. For € 17,00 you can reach the top with a mountain train, huge fun and beautiful to see.

If you go to Tibitabo you really need to make a stop in Gracia, an old part of Barcelona. There is a small square called “Plaça de la Vila de Gracia. There you can take a false afternoon meal for € 5,00, namely ice cream made by Anna: La Mama del Gelato. Of course I understand it is not a real meal, and sugary, but heaven is for good people, we on the other hand love to sin. The amount of nuts in the ice cream fill you up for a whole day.

You can walk and ride a bike but in the end of the day the only thing you really like to do is sit and enjoy the sunset. You can do that on a sailing boat where the drinks and snacks are for free, all you can eat and drink. Sea-Barcelona sails out to let you enjoy the Barcelona skyline and a romantic moment with friend or girlfriend.
